arms out, feet apart...
azusa party last night. woowoo! i started out working in the cafe which was ok. jessy was wearing a grim reaper costume and trying to serve drinks at the same time. louise was jsut eating candy and ice cream and erin and i were dancing and running drinks to the crowd controlers outside.
later on i got the honor and privilege to work with kevin, charlotte and aj at the door. now, working the door... this requires you to do some interesting things. i thought that all i had to do was stand there when i volunteered for the job. then charlotte left and told me to searh all the girls. what? yeah, that meant EVERYWHERE she said. just like when you get pulled from the line at airport security, and they ask you to remove your shoes and then put their hands... ALL OVER. that is what i had to do to all these 15 year old, half dressed little girls. they were asking me if i was gay. "yeah" i said "they put all the lesbians on the search team". little smart alecs. it was even greater when andy got put on door. he was a "kind" searcher. it was really funny to watch him pat down these big arab guys. there was this little 10 year old that andy was searching, and when he ran his hand over his butt the boy just grinned. little sicko. yeah, but i laughed really hard.
there was action going on all night. little fights here and there, a knife was brought in, some guys from the "black cobras" gang came in and tried to start some trouble. it wasn't too bad. all the kids left early because there was a fight between two gang leaders. so we got out of there a little earlier than usual... that being about 1:45am.

the rock show was great. we did it for 4th and 5th graders, the youngest group ever. all went smooth and the kids really enjoyed it. we had 25 deaf kids there which was also a first. we were doing a human video about bullying and at one point shoved one of the girls down. all the kids were quiet except for this fat kid right down in front who was laughing loudly, "HAR HAR HAR!!" yeah it was a good time.

jessy laughingly told me a story about how her aunt killed her grandmother, stole all of her money and is now is on the run and possibly somewhere in mexico. she LAUGHINGLY told me this story. laughingly. sicko.
ok, and HERE is a link to some crazy videos of earl's party. enjoy us making idiots out of ourselves.

and a crazy night it was...
earl (the bunny) decided to throw a party this evening, so signs were made and stuck up all over master's. we sat around for awhile, ate brownies and just chilled. we got bored of that pretty quick and decided that we needed some entertainment. we each wrote down a suggestion and then threw them in a hat to be picked one by one. we got to dance in the rain and then go sing christmas carols to those that were still in the sleep in and not at the party. well, the singing got them interested so they all came over. they threw in their suggestions... rebecca was a devil. she wickedly "suggested" that i stand up and give a riveting performance of "i will survive". of course i did it, being the amazingly good sport that i am. so that started a series of outrageous events. karaoke was bursting out of that apartment like none other. song after song after song after song. people that hadn't come out of their shells, came out tonight. it was OW-SOME. to view some of tonights activities this is a link to pictures. you can also go to nolan's site.
here are just some of the suggestions that were pulled out of the hat tonight...
-andy, nolan, and danny had makeovers(nolan enjoyed the makeup a little too much)
-had to perform our usher dance
-had to perform an improv skit to michael jackson's "thriller"
-christmas caroling to master's students
-dancing in the rain
-all the boys pulled up their drawers and sang YMCA
-rebecca and i sang "that thing you do"
-maren and i sang "can you feel the love tonight"
-andy sang "love suicide" to david
-jessy sang POD's "youth of the nation"
-jason, andy and nolan sang "savea horse ride a cowboy"
-sarah and craig sang "stayin' alive"
-andy, nolan and jason sang "don't take the EARL" by tim mcgraw
we closed the night with... nolan, andy and i singing "live like you were dyin'". mmm. beautiful.
after the party i was sitting in the computer lab and kasper came in. we talked and sat looking at pictures from our first year. we laughed... we missed people.

and then she fell down.
this morning erin and the rest of the missions team decided that they didn't want to make the effort to put anything together for mission's focus.... so they just made us stand with our arms to our sides, feet apart and eyes closed for an hour. charlotte looked really hot while doing this.
erin told us that if we started feeling odd and needed to leave to just raise our hands. so we were all good (except for louise and nay)for the first 40-ish minutes or so. then people started to... how should i say... "sway". i started getting really really angry at erin for making us do this. i was shaking i was so mad. sheena was in front of me and she slowly raised her hand and held it in the air for about a minute. erin didn't see it, so sheena just knelt down right there on the floor. then erin finally saw her and led her out. i got a constriction in my chest soon after and started sweating. then i started seeing black spots and feeling like i was going to lose my breakfast and pass out. i raised my hand and was gagging as i was led into the small hallway to the side of the room. as soon as i got to the bathroom and saw the toilet, i lost it all. gross. then all i could think of was "is that blood?!" so i went and laid down with all of the others that had left. after awhile we hear this loud thump from the other room. my immediate thought was that someone had just bit the dust... then in walks david isacson carrying hannah. she had totally passed out.
after a little while longer erin let everyone sit down. finally. she told us that the point of the morning had been perseverance. then she gave us a rock and some candy and thought that it was all ok.

erin is a stealer
i was talking to craig, CRAIG, NOT ERIN, about scipture memory stuff. he was sitting in the cubicle across from me, and erin was sitting at the desk between us. i mentioned aj's name so erin automatically becomes interested in the conversation. "what, what? huh? what are you talking about guys?" i was already mad at her because she had stolen my computer a few minutes before and wasn't at all sorry or repentant. i told her that i wasn't talking to her, that i was talking to craig and to mind her own buisness. we got into a little "heated argument" (not for real of course) over it. when we stopped craig started chanting, "ring of death, ring of death. fight it out girls, fight it out.".

i love earl
earl is adorable. rebecca has hate in her heart for him. she screamed in his face and tried to hit him real hard. he crawled up on my neck and was shivering. his heart was beating so fast that he almost died. all he wanted to do was say hi to her and bite her arm....off.
i reject you tetzlaff.

i would have to say that this evening was one of the best since being back here. nay's brother, adam, came to visit. he is irish. he is hilarious. we decided to take him out to dinner tonight at cafe ae. chicken nachos baby. there were about seven of us that went: erin, hannah, jessy, nay, adam, andy, and i. after dinner we went back to the sleep in and watched napoleon dynamite. one of the hee-haw-en-est movies ever made.
teddy came over and was bored. so her, nay, lotte and i went into lounge two and started practicing our dance moves.
at about ten o'clock we got the bright idea to go hit up the karaoke bar downtown... not really a bar, it's in the basement of a chinese restaurant and only philippino people go there. so we got ace, sheena, jessy, david i, andy, and adam to all go with us. we arrive and there are not many people. we get some sodas and start looking at the song lists. ohhhh, man. there were so many. for the first song that we did, all the girls got up and sang "you're so vain". we dedicated it to andy and stuck his name in here and there while pointing at him through the whole song. then david and andy got up and sang "summer days". andy got down on one knee and sang to teddy... david was too caught up in himself and his moves to pay attention to any one else. then nay and adam got up and sang "no limits"... OH MY GOSH. i thought that i was going to pee my pants i was laughing so hard. they really got into it and were doing all these techno moves. oh man. "...techno techno techno..." pictures to come, for real. or at least a link to pictures. holy cow. this one irish guy got up and started singing "i fought the law and the law won...". he sang it all hard core and raspy. it was great. as we were getting our things ready to leave the brittny spears song "i'm not a girl, not yet a woman" came on. no one was going up to sing it. david isacson took it upon himself to book it to the microphone and start singing it. by the end of the song all the master's students were up there on stage and belting it out.
a perfect end to a fantastic evening.
nicole i thought of you all night! you would have loved it!

we went for our first klippen meeting on tuesday evening. on the way there andy hit a dog... on the way home becky hit a dog(and fell off her bike! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAHAHAHAHAHAH!) both dogs were owned by the same person...
last night hannah and i went to klippen to work for a few hours. there was a man that came in that decided to immediately befriend us. he told us that he understood english, spoke danish and thought in german. he kept poking our noses. his name was walter. walter bloc. at one point i told him that he looked like santa clause. some high guy from across the room yelled out, "yeah! a DRUNK santa clause!". at the end of the evening he was frustrated that we didn't always understand what he was saying and so he gave us directions to a danish teacher. walter waited outside for us until we were done. he wanted to ride his bike home with us.... yeah, we took another way. poor walter. i also met max... or should i say LUCIFER. this guy thinks that he is satan roaming the world. we talked with him for 2 hours straight. he thinks that we are going to hell because we have cars.
nolan and jason bought a rabbit. his name is earl and he is a "cow" rabbit. they wanted a chicken, but the pet store didn't sell them. earl is way cuter. he likes to pee on the couch and watch shanghai noon.

i went with sarah, craig, hannah, jason, nolan and andy. we thought that there was going to be a "spooky torch lighted tour" of the rosenburg castle... it turned out that it costed more than the 70 kronar we had already paid. so that was depressing. i got to see the jewels though. that was kind of cool. we walked around for awhile and then went and heard a band play... the lead singer was weird. her and her tambourine. the drummer felt the need to undo a button on his shirt with every new song they played. we got ice cream at nyhavn and then met there with nay, sheena, aaron, lauren and jen. from there we went to the zoo. the lions were tearing the flesh off what looked like a horse (it wasn't though). they were cool, but not as cool as yuri... sarah likes yuri. it was a very enjoyable night.
if only things would stay open past 6 EVERY night. denmark isn't smart yet.
i saw napoleon dynamite for the first time last night. ohhhhhhhhhhooohohohohohoh. that movie KILLS. it is my new favorite.
Napoleon Dynamite:Hey can I use your guys's phone for a sec?
Secretary No. 1 : Is there anything wrong?
Napoleon Dynamite : I don't feel very good.
[takes telephone and dials number]
Kip : [making nachos on the other line] Hi.
Napoleon Dynamite : Is grandma there?
Kip : No, she's getting her hair done.
Napoleon Dynamite : Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...
Kip : What do you need?
Napoleon Dynamite : Can you just go get her for me?
Kip : I'm really busy right now.
Napoleon Dynamite : Just tell her to come get me.
Kip : Why?
Napoleon Dynamite : Cause I don't feel good!
Kip : Well, have you talked to the school nurse?
Napoleon Dynamite : No, she doesn't know anything. Will you just come get me?
Kip : No.
Napoleon Dynamite : Well, will you do me a favor then? Can you bring me my chapstick?
Kip : No, Napoleon.
Napoleon Dynamite : But my lips hurt real bad!
Kip : Just borrow some from the school nurse. I know she has like five sticks in her drawer.
Napoleon Dynamite : I'm not gonna use hers, you sicko!
Kip : See ya.
Napoleon Dynamite : Ugh! Idiot!

yesterday ended better than i ever thought possible.
we started setting up for worship practice around 9. we got done at around 9:45pm and took a time to just stop what we were doing, and pray. we prayed for people that needed it in the group, then we took about 10 minutes and prayed for the practice itself and for chapel today. i wish that i had done this so much sooner. the thing that was most important i had shoved out because i thought that there wasn't time for it and that we just needed to get practice DONE. it was so refreshing to feel such a spiritual connection with my team... my friends. thanks guys, for just going with the flow. you did great this morning.

ok, for those of you that don't know my brother jonah, or read his website. here was his post the other day....
so, i bought a pocket rocket(mini motorcycle), it is soooo awesome. i got it up to about 40-45 yesterday. i also got in trouble with two cops in chester for riding it around the highschool track and on the sidewalk, but they were laughing about it and just gave me a warning. one cop was asking me how many hp it was, i think he was wishing he had one (heh heh).
OH, NO PO PO! that's right, officer's kids NEVER get tickets! if you go here you can check out his bike.

it started out well with rock ministry stuff and then a trip to a second hand shop with louise.
after that the bomb hit.
i was getting all the worship stuff together for practice. after i was finished i went into the lounge to just remind the guys to be in the room at 7:30 to start. daniel looked at me and said that he couldn't be there because he and danny had a meeting... which they never told me about. i am now short a guitar player and a bass player. i stand there and yell at him in front of everyone and i didn't even care.
i was working on typing out some stuff upstairs when jason reminds me that we have to clean tonight. i told them that i couldn't clean until later because of practice. i find out that lacie (the girl that cleans with me) can't clean until 10pm because she has azusa. ahhhhhhhh!! then nolan tells me that it should be good worship tomorrow because andreas matthews is coming to check us out for the master's conference to see if we can play. GEEZ!
i go to start practice and the room where all of our equipment is kept, is locked. daniel is the only one with the key to this door. daniel is far away in another city at his meeting. aj tries for a half an hour to pick the lock with his nifty lock picking set. doesn't work. we finally got a hold of a guy to come and unlock it. praise Jesus.
we had a good practice. i went to go clean the school and some of the girls came up and helped. thanks louise, hannah and maren! you're sweethearts.
this morning after mission's focus we go to practice in the red room and there are kids everywhere. what the....? apparently they were having school pictures taken and we couldn't be in there for chapel. great. just great. so we had to get permission to get into the main hall, and set all our stuff up. daniel still hadn't practiced with us yet and was playing this morning. we got it all ready, practiced (shortly), had chapel and God showed up. as faithful as always.
thanks for the phone call mom. it was needed. i would like to give a shout out to my homies back in chester, illinois. ed, debbie, jonah (in stl), hannah, samuel, daniel, evan and jonathan. love you guys!
